Removes the ½” - 1”top layer of a concrete slab. This is commonly done to remove rough or uneven surface which may be caused by concrete that has heaved or settled unevenly. This type of work is performed on sidewalks, construction joints, floor slabs and various other areas that require leveling. Diamond segmented disk faces are used in this application ranging from 4” to 10” in diameter. The machines operate on gas or electric power and are similar in appearance to a standard floor buffer. Hand grinders are also available for those hard to reach areas.
